Jerry He created AMBARI-20101:
---------------------------------

Summary: Support management of Phoenix Query Server heap size from
Ambari
                 Key: AMBARI-20101
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-20101
             Project: Ambari
          Issue Type: Improvement
    Affects Versions: 2.4.2
            Reporter: Jerry He

Phoenix Query Server heap size can be set via PHOENIX_QUERYSERVER_OPTS.
Leaving it to the default of the Java environment is risky and can interfere
with other services on the same node.

We should support setting it explicitly from Ambari when installing Phoenix
Query Server with HBase. I think there are two parts here:

1. Take the memory requirement of Phoenix Query Server when selecting and
deploying services.
2. Allow user to adjust the memory setting from the Ambari UI after
installation.
