Maria Odea Ching commented on MRM-1156:
---------------------------------------

I tried using the Network Places instead of IE6 and I was able to get through
the other non-Archiva dav repository while I got "The folder you enter does not
appear to be valid. Please choose another" when I tried accessing an Archiva
dav repo. And finally, my debug logs are showing something! I still have to
look deeper into what's causing this problem in Archiva.

BTW, after all the googling that I did.. it turns out that web folders are not
installed for IE6 :) That's why the request wasn't reaching Archiva and I
couldn't access the non-Archiva dav repo as well.

> Key: MRM-1156
> URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MRM-1156
> Project: Archiva
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: WebDAV interface
> Affects Versions: 1.1.3, 1.2
> Environment: Windows XP, Archiva 1.2 release
> Reporter: Wendy Smoak
>
> To reproduce:
> 1. Open Internet Explorer 6
> 2. Choose File -> Open
> 3. Enter the url of an Archiva hosted repo, such as
> http://localhost:8080/archiva/repository/internal/
> 4. check the 'Open as Web Folder' checkbox
> 5. click OK
> Result:
> Dialog box with "Internet Explorer could not open
> http://localhost:8080/archiva/repository/internal/ as a Web Folder. Would
> you like to see its default view instead?"
> The expected result is to open the url as a webdav folder which allows
> adding/removing files.
> There is nothing in either the archiva.log or stderr log files.
