In this case deprecation means,
* We will no longer add new features that will depend on the getVersion() API.
* I will work on updating the client to use the getInfo() API instead
* The getVersion() API will be removed once the call is no longer being called
by the clients.
Further, this change is part of the API cleanup we are doing for the release.
Since we control the clients at this point, I don't see how this can be an
issue given we follow the steps above.
