Review Comment:
These are the lints reported by `-Dclippy::pedantic` and fixed to make it
almost passing.
Adding them explicitly here leads to many more linting issues...
I suggest to (try to) re-enable them once #512 is merged, to avoid merge
conflicts in whatever PR is merged second.
