i agree, that we can selectively support some flink versions for longer.
The challenge I see is that users might not even be aware of deprecation of
beam support for flink version till they go about updating beam or flink and we
might come to know about such cases after we have deprecated old flink version.
We can have clear guide lines about unsupporting old flink version on master.
Of course old beam version will keep on supporting old flink version.
