                Author: ASF GitHub Bot
            Created on: 01/May/19 16:15
            Start Date: 01/May/19 16:15
    Worklog Time Spent: 10m
Work Description: tweise commented on issue #8426: [BEAM-7171] Ensure
bundle finalization during Flink checkpoint
URL: https://github.com/apache/beam/pull/8426#issuecomment-488329328

Didn't have the time to work on it yet, but I would like to implement the
approach that I had already proposed in the JIRA. That way no extra bundles are
created whenever the watermark advances. Should get to it in the next few days.

> The Flink runner finishes bundles as part of snapshotState. In the portable
> runner, it is possible that a new bundle will be started as part of finishing
> the bundle when the bundleFinishedCallback is invoked. This happens when the
> watermark advances and timers get fired.
