Just for info: historically, there has been issues including LZO directly in
Apache projects for licensing reasons
([hadoop|https://github.com/twitter/hadoop-lzo],
[hbase|http://hbase.apache.org/book.html#lzo.compression]). There's a few
strategies for including them indirectly (such as service loaders, dynamically
loaded factories).
