Dian Fu commented on CALCITE-2033:
----------------------------------
I have created a PR which introduces a new operator {{->}} to support this. May
be other operators? Any advice?
For example, for pattern {{A -> B}}, it means that there may be other kinds of
events between the events matching pattern {{A}} and {{B}}.

Hi [~julianhyde] [~ransom], what do you think about this functionality? If you
think it makes sense, could you help to take a look at this PR? Thanks a lot.

> The [doc|https://docs.oracle.com/database/121/DWHSG/pattern.htm#DWHSG8986]
> has already defined pattern operator {{Concatenation}}. For example, pattern
> {{A B}} means that events matching pattern {{A}} and {{B}} should occur
> successively. There are also many use cases which require patterns to match
> events which not occur successively.
