Just to clarify what I meant in (b) - could such components be built using some
alternative profile in Maven, e.g.
mvn -Pnonfreestuff
and if somebody doesn't enable that profile, such things are not built? As
long as such components don't end up becoming dependencies for essential parts
of the project, this would give the user an option to build them in their own
environment. I put some questions more specific to Camel-extra policy in
CAMEX-69
