That is not correct, it will use the current class loader (which is what we
want) if it is set to null. Look at the kafka code here:
https://github.com/apache/kafka/blob/trunk/clients/src/main/java/org/apache/kafka/common/utils/Utils.java#L652
Which will get the classloader from:
Utils.class.getClassLoader();
