Aashna Jena commented on CAMEL-14581:
-------------------------------------

[~zregvart] I think having sub-menus (or just links in the header) under
"About" and "Community" makes sense, since the sub-menu topics are fairly
disjoint. But for Documentation and Projects, we should do away with the
submenu and have separate webpages because :
1) They already have too many sub-menus
2) The sub-menu list will keep expanding with time - as new projects and
documentations keep are added to Camel. I think this is a strong reason to
maintain a page with links to sub-topics rather than having drop-down menus,
especially taking the future scope for expansion into account.

> The current Apache Camel website can use some help with the usability. I've
> identified the following areas that could improve:
> * simpler top level navigation: currently we have Blog, Projects,
> Documentation, Community, Download, About; some of these also have sub-menu
> items. I think we could benefit from a simpler organization and perhaps get
> rid of sub-menus and serve pages with content regarding each section (e.g.
> documentation page could have pointers to different kinds of documentation we
> currently have on the sub-menu)
> * accessibility (readability/contrast/...): we should run audits and make
> sure that the website is accessible
> * rework menus on low resolution: make sure that the menus are large enough
> and readable on lower resolution
