> Object_Store_Refactor - Adding S3 Storage should check connectivity
> -------------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: CLOUDSTACK-3210
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-3210
> Project: CloudStack
> Issue Type: Bug
> Security Level: Public(Anyone can view this level - this is the
> default.)
> Environment: devcloud
> chrome on linux
> Cloudian and AWS for S3 services
> Reporter: Thomas O'Dowd
>
> 1. Navigate to infrastructure -> secondary storage.
> 2. Remove NFS storage.
> 3. Select add secondary storage and select S3.
> 4. Enter any bad information such as bad credentials, non-existing bucket,
> bad endpoint etc.
> 5. Finally save the info.
> I expect the GUI to try to connect to the S3 server to do a HEAD BUCKET or
> GET BUCKET to ensure that the various details are correct and fail to add the
> secondary storage with some information if not correct.
> Additionally, there doesn't seem to be any S3 errors logged on the terminal
> running the management server when I do have wrong info. Security Credentials
> may change over time for example. Currently it seems silent.
