There is already a JMH test somewhere in the code, added recently to Text (I was looking at Numbers & Imaging, as I recalled we added one somewhere really recently - turns out it was here after all :grimacing: ). https://github.com/apache/commons-text/blob/78a818538869e51492c4a2bebd42322acceb660b/pom.xml#L537-L575 Just have a look at the Maven profile & at the existing benchmark code.
