Michael Osipov commented on COMMONSSITE-165:
--------------------------------------------

> missing version number in the sub-header

That's useless because it does not change and site is bleeding edge in most
cases.

> missing 'Apache Commons ...' in sub-header

True, but it still duplicated the logo from above. What is the benefit in
duplication?

> different fonts and sizes

That is true, but fixable.

> I think quite a bit more testing and evaluation is needed before considering
> dropping the Commons Skin.

Of course, no doubt, but 90% is basically identical. Given that even the
comment in the skin hasn't changed "Rendered using Apache Maven Fluido Skin
1.3.0", basically no one cared about it for years.

> Our Commons components use Commons Skin, a skin, or theme, for Apache Maven
> Site.
> Our skin uses Bootstrap 2.x, but Bootstrap is already at 5.x release, and we
> are missing several improvements (UIUX, accessibility, browser compatibility)
> and JS/CSS bugs fixed over the years.
> Work happening on Apache Maven Skins. Maybe we could adapt/use that one?
