POP3Mail works fine for me, so does SMTPMail..
IMAPMail does not work for me with Google - it hangs waiting for the first
reply.
Regarding extending support for IMAP: it's much more complicated than POP3 or
SMTP, and there are already IMAP implementations elsewhere in the ASF, so I
think the code should be kept simple.
