Duncan Jones commented on LANG-988:
-----------------------------------

Yes, the user guide is now contained within the Javadoc summary of the
{{org.apache.commons.lang3}} package. This change was made during January of
this year (see LANG-939). The contents are identical to what was originally
found on the website.

bq. Oh, and IMHO the website should be a component in jira.

That's probably a good idea.

> The homepage claims "A getting started user guide is available together with
> various project reports." The link for the user guide
> (https://commons.apache.org/proper/commons-lang/userguide.html) then says
> "Looking for the User Guide? It has been moved to the package JavaDoc" - and
> the JavaDoc link points to the javadoc, where I can't find a user guide (do
> you mean the package summary of lang3
> (https://commons.apache.org/proper/commons-lang/javadocs/api-release/org/apache/commons/lang3/package-summary.html#package_description)?
> Oh, and IMHO the website should be a component in jira.
