I've updated the branch to include the compressed byte count on each event and
moved {{initBlock}} like you did in order to get notified of the first block.
The "compressedBytes" count is identical with the numbers your testcase
contained - except for the fractional bits. Which should be fine for your
usecase as it removes the need for {{bits}} parameter in {{resetBlock}}. For
{{resetBlock}} itself I'd ask you to open a new issue once we get this one
resolved.
