Thanks @andreasrosdal ! I still have some more development bandwidth this
month, so hopefully it will be merged this weekend, and I will find a way to
squeeze in a few more hours to finish the website updates. Then we will be
ready to call a 1.0 vote again.
@garydgregory ping. I left a few replies to your comments. I think that'd
be OK to merge as is, unless you prefer to address the exception handling &
code duplication now.
