Matt Gaunt commented on CB-4910:
--------------------------------
Understood.
The thinking behind unhiding the .cordova directory was I know a number of
people who prevent hidden files from being committed file a global gitignore
file.
The other side affect is the error message was extremely no descript to
identify this as being the problem (I think it was an issue of a join method).

> What would be useful for future versions of Cordova projects built with the
> cordova-cli is:
> 1.) Rename ".cordova" folder to simply "cordova" this means hosting projects
> on github will more that likely include the cordova directory
> 2.) Move the config.xml file from the www diretory into the cordova directory
> allowing build steps / tasks / tools to replace the contents of www without
> breaking the build
