It's a bit weird because if you already installed the plugin, then to remove it
you *would* use the ".core" version.
If we went through and added a git tag to all of the plugin repos, then we
could change the install instructions to say install it from the tag, but even
so, it would require a version of plugman that is newer than the version from
when 3.0 was released.
That said, I think the version of the plugins on master now has only IDs in the
<dependency> tags, so if you didn't have a new enough version of plugman, they
wouldn't even install.
So... Maybe we should update the 3.0 docs with a note that say they are out of
date and to refer to the 3.1 docs?
