Joe Bowser commented on CB-9949:
--------------------------------
Again, I'm going to leave this here as our rationale for not actively
supporting the menu button:
http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/ui/menus.html
Namely this part:
"Beginning with Android 3.0 (API level 11), Android-powered devices are no
longer required to provide a dedicated Menu button. With this change, Android
apps should migrate away from a dependence on the traditional 6-item menu panel
and instead provide an app bar to present common user actions."
This means that unless someone sends me a pull request to fix it, I'm actively
going to not fix this. Someone actually sent a pull request that fixed the
Android plugin so that it's supported, so it's just a Javascript fix that I'm
not going to do on principle. In this case, the only way that we're going to
provide support for this at all is if someone from the community actually cares
about this deprecated feature.
