The author of https://github.com/gbenvenuti/cordova-plugin-screen-orientation
has agreed to contribute his plugin to Apache Cordova. We've started on some
preparatory work such as migrating the license to Apache 2.0, plans for
updating the plugin to the latest version of the spec and fixing some top open
issues.
I just sent a mail to the dev mailing list titled "proposal for new core plugin
to control screen orientation". I need to get consensus on the list in order
to move forward with next steps such as creating the Apache repo. If you would
like this proposal to move forward, please provide feedback on the mailing list.
