function onDeviceReady(){
window.orientation.lock('portrait')
}
function onPortraitPageLoaded(){
window.orientation.unlock()
}

Does that work for you? This seems like workaround for this issue.
I'm trying to replicate this issue but this may be strictly IOS 11 problem.
