Your changes look good to me, I should have considered this case when I was
trying to enhance the rule. My small change, with or without your fix isn't
really the right way to fix this, but for now it will make this basic case work
without requiring more reworking of the rule. I will keep the other JIRA open
for addressing the more general case when I get a chance.
