@paul-rogers, your comments as always highly useful - they either enforce
making the code clearer and making the design better.
Thanks a lot for the review and for revising the managed framework, I
definitely need your help with the managed framework, I tried do not to break
the logic a lot with my changes connected with handling metadata for empty
files, but I agree that it looks somewhere slightly odd.
Also, thanks for offering to use for now the design here. In this case, I'll
address other CR comments ASAP and provide the intension for my changes in the
managed framework classes.
