Hi, I'm the author/administrator of Renovate. There's actually a second
(alternative) app called "Forking Renovate"
(https://github.com/apps/forking-renovate) that works for public repositories
by submitting Pull Requests from forks and therefore does not require write
access. Example large organizations on GitHub using it include ampproject,
bazelbuild, cloudflare, google, googleapis, and taskcluster.
