Michael Vorburger commented on FINERACT-962:
--------------------------------------------

FTR we're now "in production" with Renovate on
https://github.com/apache/fineract, and I have thus finally just de-activated
it on my personal fork at https://github.com/vorburger/fineract/pulls.

[~rarkins] one small lingering doubt I still have is whether Renovate is
"holding back" sending us more PRs as long as we have open PRs from it that we
have not merged yet, because they fail they build and need more investigations.
For example, does something like https://github.com/apache/fineract/pull/998
prevent Renovate from raising more PRs (for other dependencies) with its rule
of "not more than N" open, or do failing ones not count? Should / can we
further tweak https://github.com/apache/fineract/blob/develop/renovate.json to
get more PRs from it?

> Based solely on comparing the initial list on
> https://github.com/vorburger/fineract/pull/2 VS
> https://github.com/vorburger/fineract/pulls?q=is%3Apr+author%3Aapp%2Fdependabot-preview+,
> Renovate and Dependabot seem to find similar results. It could still be fun
> to run them both?
> INFRA-19586 explains that ASF can't accept the Renovate GitHub App.
