I think the idea is good but I don't feel comfortable in changing the existing
behavior of standing instructions

My suggestion

We can introduce a new checkbox (collect overdue installment first) in the
standing instruction configuration

when enabled the job will collect the oldest unpaid installments
first(depending on the balance in savings account)

When the checkbox is disabled- it only collects the installment amount that is
due on that current day(existing behavior)

and by default the checkbox should be disabled to retain the existing behavior
as default.

Thoughts?

> Currently the standing instruction task will only execute a transfer if the
> loan installment in question is for the exact date as the date on which the
> task is running. This means that if for example a client had an installment
> due for the day before (or several days before), that installment will not be
> settled if the client deposits funds on his savings account today or the next
> day.
> The thinking is that installments should be settled as longs as they are not
> in the future, that is if the are today or they are overdue.
