Aira Jena commented on FINERACT-2441:
-------------------------------------
Hi [~jdailey],
Thank you for the detailed explanation and clarification,it helped in
understanding the use cases.
I am currently architecting the early stages of my proposal and wanted to ask a
few clarifying questions to ensure my technical approach aligns with the
Fineract community's vision.
1. The description mentions that data should probably go to a Data Warehouse.
Are we leaning towards a batch ETL/ELT approach (potentially leveraging
existing open-source tools like Apache Hop/Airbyte), or are we more interested
in near-real-time CDC replication using a tool like Debezium?
2. For the portfolio health analysis, are there existing reference dashboards
or standard industry reports Fineract adopters currently use? I want to make
sure my mockups for PAR, write-offs, and aging cycles accurately reflect
real-world Fineract BI use cases.
3. Regarding Fineract's security and PII considerations, does Fineract have a
standard practice for data obfuscation, or should I propose an independent
masking layer as part of the ETL pipeline before the data reaches the warehouse?
Thanks again for the guidance — it’s very useful while shaping the proposal.

> significantly edit this concept or create new ones to replace it.*
> *No one should work on this specific ticket unless assigned - the GSOC
> candidate we choose will be assigned this ticket.*

> The idea is to create a connector and a demonstration of analytics that would
> consume and organize data from Fineract.
> For example, create a way to pull data out of Fineract and make it easy to
> use in common analytics such as Power BI or Tableau or, better yet, an open
> source variant. The data should probably go to a Data Warehouse.
> Start by proposing and exploring different options and write up the pros and
> cons.
> Create a demonstration project that takes into account security, levels of
> access, and security of PII data if it exists.
