Alex Harui commented on FLEX-34258:
-----------------------------------
The cross-compiler (js\bin\mxmlc.bat) should require Java 1.7. This error,
which I haven't seen before, happens before the cross-compiler loads the jar
that requires 1.7. I don't think this error is related, but yes, please
install Java 1.7 and use it for running js\bin\mxmlc.bat. You will need it
eventually. And maybe we'll get lucky and this error will go away.
If not, post the full stack trace, and post the files you are compiling. I
suspect that there might be some extraneous characters in the files, maybe
because of some download or cut-and-paste glitch, that is tripping up the
parser. The compiler should catch these and report useful errors, but it is
also an alpha so we need to find and fix these scenarios.
Thanks for continuing to work with us.
