I've rebased this on the current master including the `ExecutionMode`
changes introduced by Stephan.
This allows you to set the type of produced runtime result partitions as
follows:
```java
final ExecutionEnvironment env =
ExecutionEnvironment.getExecutionEnvironment();
env.getConfig().setExecutionMode(ExecutionMode.BATCH);
```
