Tzu-Li (Gordon) Tai commented on FLINK-7510:
--------------------------------------------

I also don't think there is an urgent need to do that yet. The twitter and
wikiedits connectors contribute very little of the build / test time, and it
basically did not require too much maintenance for quite a while, at the same
time acting as simple Flink examples (I haven't personally run those examples,
but assuming it is working well as there hasn't been any questions about it
from the community).

> Hi Flink community:
> Flink is really a great stream processing framework, provides a number of
> connectors that support multiple data sources and sinks.
> but,
> I suggested that moving the unpopular connector to Bahir (and popular
> connector to keep in the main Flink codebase).
> E.g
> flink-connectors/flink-connector-twitter
> flink-contrib/flink-connector-wikiedits
> ....
> I am willing to do the work, if you think it's acceptable, I will create new
> sub-task issue and submit a PR soon.
> Regards,
> Hai Zhou
> the corresponding bahir issue:
