Review comment:
We already log it as a warning and not as an error due to that reasoning.
I think we're a bit naive when it comes to reporting errors in the metric
system. Our argument is "it's _just_ tooling", but any Flink deployment that is
important for the business-logic will be monitored, and issues in the metric
system should be highlighted in some way accordingly.
