For 1). I think it is generally expected. JCA takes 10x longer for compilation. We have some techniques to hide this time, but they are not implemented in this PR. For 2). I think at least, your results reveal that the improvements are unstable. Even if you can reproduce the 2% - 7% performance improvements, such improvements are not significant enough to help improve the performance of row-store. So I think more investigations are required for us. @KurtYoung the article is impressive. Thank you so much for your suggestion.
