We can use `TypeComparator.extractKeys()` to extract only the key fields as
`Object[]` from the records. `TypeComparator[]
TypeComparator.getFlatComparators()` returns comparators for all fields
returned by `extractKeys()`. That way we can reduce the size of the
distribution, because only keys are stored.
