    Can't we simply let `setupAuxiliaryFields` return the 
`normalizedKeyLengths`, `numLeadingNormalizableKeys` and 
`normalizableKeyPrefixLen` values for the constructor call? Maybe we should 
then rename the method to `createAuxiliaryFields`.
