With the revert, I had 16 core stages passing.
Without the revert, I had the error once out of 9 successful runs (with 2
unrelated failures).
This means: I can reproduce the issue on the Azure-hosted personal accounts,
and the probability that FLINK-17800 causes the issue is high.
Once I have more runs confirming the revert, shall we merge it?
