In Flink's terminology 1.11 and 1.12 are major versions. I know that this is
technically not correct but that's how the community versions the releases.
Consequently, it can or cannot be possible to use a 1.12.x class with 1.11.x.
That is something you have to try out. In general Flink tries to provide
backwards compatibility but not forward compatibility.
