As discussed in the PR ([https://github.com/apache/flink/pull/16513),] we need
to trim down the kafka-client and other unnecessary dependencies brought by AWS
Glue Schema Registry client library
([https://github.com/awslabs/aws-glue-schema-registry]) to a minimal set.
Therefore, potential risk such as kafka client version conflicts could be
avoided.
This will be taken care of no later than the next major feature release of AWS
Glue Schema Registry client library by the end of year.
