It seems that more than one connector has encountered this issue, as Nightly CI
tests 1.17 and 1.18 at the same time, and inconsistent violation between the
two versions can lead to CI failure. I wonder if we can backport this to
release-1.17 and release-1.16(if it is also need this). [~chesnay] WDYT?
