The [FLIP-347
|https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/FLINK/FLIP-347%3A+Remove+IOReadableWritable+serialization+in+Path]has
decided that the IOReadableWritable serialization will be removed in the next
major version. We should deprecate it now and remove it in Flink 2.0. The
removal will be tracked in
[FLINK-5336|https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-5336].
