I don't think that we should add the default implementation in the next Flink
minor release: we had long discussions about API compatibility, and I think we
wanted to bring extra attention to it. From my POV, we should hold off
releasing 1.19 until this is addressed. But we can discuss it in the next 1.19
release sync on Tuesday.
