Thanks for the detailed investigation! Support for Java chat and internal sub-agent calls on older JDKs is a known gap that @pltbkd is working on. At our last [[community sync](https://github.com/apache/flink-agents/discussions/419)](https://github.com/apache/flink-agents/discussions/419), we requested an extension until October 22 for that fix, which is why we haven't documented it as a limitation. The missing JDK 21 classes in the release artifacts are a separate issue, affecting users even when they run on JDK 21.
