Thanks for looking into this and for the proposal! I originally opened this issue to document a known limitation, so that we could refer to it rather than raise the same concern repeatedly in different PR reviews. While the function cache isolation you proposed could be a useful part of the solution, it would not be sufficient on its own to support this scenario. Full support would also require addressing Python module isolation, dependency lifecycle management, and the other issues involved in running multiple jobs in a Session cluster. So far, we haven't seen a concrete user need for this scenario, which is why I marked the issue as minor. Given the complexity of providing complete support, I think it would be better to wait until there is a clear requirement before moving forward with the implementation.
