    This is to be consistent with the behavior in other RocksDB states.  I 
agree with you that we should use a more specific exception. It also helps to 
reduce the stack printed in the cases of exception.  But I think we should do 
the changes in a different pull request because it involves the changes in 
other states. What do you think?
