I tried to implement the feature as it was described in jira without
reconsidering the described approach because i am totally new to FLINK.
Your improvement suggestions make sense and i tried to realize the option
that the IOManager tries the next directory if one directory is full, but i can
not find the right place in the code (IOManger, BlockChannelWriter,
BlockChannelAccess...) to modify the IO handling...
