Issue Type: ENHANCEMENT
Summary: Unformatted paste by default
Classification: Code
Product: framework
Version: version58
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Priority: P1
Component: ui
AssignedTo: [email protected]

I never use the formated paste feature in OpenOffice and I am sure many people
do the same. It is probably a nice feature to have in some occasions but I
never used this personally for years now. Do you know of any situation when the
source is in the same format than the target? So my clear vote is to change the
default behavior of OpenOffice to paste unformatted with CTRL-V and probably
give the user a choice with a configuration parameter.
I know the possibilities to record a macro or do some other hacks to use the
unformatted paste but this is really annoying for unexperienced user.
The standard user expectation is to have a text pasted in the current formating
environment and not in the source formating style.
I know there might be a lot of discussion in this special point, so I encourage
the people to vote for my request here.
