[~scaronni] You are correct that this has been opened for a while, and, yes, it
is high on our list of priorities. Unfortunately it is also not a trivial
exercise - the API has changed significantly between the FreeRDP versions, and
so implementing this support is taking some effort.
Furthermore, while you are correct that FreeRDP 1.x is no longer maintained,
FreeRDP 2.x is still in RC stages, and many of the major, stable Linux
distributions (Debian Stable, CentOS, RHEL, SLES) still contain FreeRDP 1.x
libraries. This makes the implementation even more difficult, because it
requires doing it in a way that maintains backward compatibility with the
FreeRDP 1.x code.
As you can see from the priority of this issue, this is Critical, so it's
important to us, and we'd gladly accept any help that anyone can offer in
getting this support implemented! :)
