Luke Pickerireo commented on GUACAMOLE-1089:
--------------------------------------------

I have found a similar response, although please note my comments around
disconnects experienced in my production server as opposed to test environment.

Ubuntu 18.04, Guacamole 1.1.0, target is Win7:

Freerdp1-dev2.1.1 gave an orange screen, downgrading to freerdp2-dev 2.0.0
works normally.  *Unfortunately at the orange screen I didn't carry on with the
connect as it was responding exactly per one of my production servers, which
had alerted me to the issue. The production operation would randomly disconnect
users in association with the orange screen.

Updated back to freerdp2-dev 2.1.1, shutdown guacd etc, recompiled
guacamole-server and tried a further connect. No change. Rebooted VM, no change
to colours.

I'd post log detail, but it's not showing anything unusual.

*In contrast to the production server in my test environment I'm not being
disconnected, although the weird colour scheme continues. This may be because
I'm logging into a Win7 machine, rather than 10 (as on production system). I
don't have a Win10 machine/licence to test this theory further, and I've
downgraded freerdp on the production server to keep them operating so can't
test there either.

I will do some further (limited) work on this, will report any useful findings.

>
> Hello,
>
> A recent update to the freerdp2-dev (2.1.1) package on Ubuntu has broken the
> Guacamole compatibilty.
> RDP connection is instantly closed without any error message.
> I had to downgrade to 2.0.0 to make it work again.
>
> Not sure if this should be there, but, as you advice to install this package
> in your doc, I think, you should be aware of it.
