GPTransfer is a good reference point which leverages external table
capabilities as the main data transport mechanism, on the HAWQ side we
additionally have capabilities within PXF that could be of use as well,
possibly still leveraging the base capabilities of gptransfer or a gptransfer
like utility?
Lei, when you created this issue was there a particular use case you had in
mind?
Nilesh, is there a particular use case that you have that you need this tool
for? I like your idea of starting with the high level design document.
